Purdys of Southampton has been trading since June 2007 and handles all aspects of classic scooters.
The founders have wide-ranging experience in the scooter industry for 42 years, including the purchase and sale of scooters brought into the UK from across Europe.
Our vision is to provide a complete facility for riders of two-wheeled vehicles – from advice to sales, service, spare parts, repairs, restorations and MOTs – not only in the Southampton area, where we are based, but throughout the UK and further afield. We aim to offer a venue – whether at our premises in Southampton or via the telephone or internet – in which riders can find the answers to their problems and also the realisation of their dreams.
We believe that we offer something very unique in the industry with our ability to source bikes from vintage to newer models. Also the resources to offer everything the rider requires under one roof and an environment in which he or she feels welcome and relaxed. Having had years of experience in this arena, we can offer the kind of quality expertise and advice sought by scooter riders and restorers.
There is a great demand for such a business in the south coast area and the response to Purdys has been very positive, while the feedback to our proposed plans for stocking, restorations and expansion has been extremely encouraging. We feel that with the necessary injection of capital, the business would go from strength to strength.
